Throughout the UFA season, there are typically dozens of noteworthy individual performances every week. But only seven special efforts can earn their way onto the weekly Honor Roll, highlighting the best of the best across the Association.

Players are listed alphabetically by last name.

Lander Decraene, Boston Glory

Turns out frisbee really does run in the family. Lander Decraene, the older brother of last year’s MVP, dazzled in his UFA debut on Saturday night against DC, producing five blocks in the Glory’s five-goal win over the Breeze. It was a remarkable performance, one that even surprised the teammate who knows him best. “I knew he was gonna do great,” said Tobe, in a postgame interview on WatchUFA.tv, “[but] I didn’t think he was gonna do that great in his first game.” While it’d be foolish to expect five blocks every game going forward, Lander certainly showed the world that he can win aerial battles in the UFA right away, and that’s a huge deal for the defending champs.

Tobe Decraene, Boston Glory

While Lander’s debut was special, Tobe’s all-around production was truly extraordinary. For most of the night, the Breeze seemed completely helpless in their attempt to slow down the 22-year-old Belgian sensation. The younger Decraene brother finished the night with eight assists and five blocks, meaning he was directly involved in 13 of his team’s 21 scores, and he also tallied three hockey assists along with 734 total yards, almost 300 yards more than the next highest total on his team. The 2025 MVP appears to have improved, which is a pretty scary thought for opposing defenders trying to slow him down.

Kyle Henke, Austin Sol

While the game’s final pass sailed over his head, perhaps Kyle Henke was the ideal decoy. After all, Henke, playing in his 84th career game, produced a career-best 11 scores—six assists and five goals—in Austin’s exhilarating double-overtime victory over Atlanta. He also led the Sol with 660 total yards, many of which came from highlight-reel moments that helped his team start the season with a truly marquee win. His wild choice on the final throw of regulation, a sharp and quickly descending blade, landed perfectly in Evan Swiatek’s bread basket to force overtime. And in the game’s final moment, all eyes were on him, as Duncan Fitzgerald’s ill-advised forehand into traffic floated over the crowd, only to be saved by the sprinting Swiatek in stunning fashion. While Henke didn’t actually haul in the game-winner, it’s clear that the Sol would not have won without him.

Jacob Louie, Carolina Flyers

Heading into the Flyers’ season opener, it felt very reasonable to wonder who Carolina’s primary center handler would be. They wouldn’t really trust those responsibilities to a relatively unheralded rookie, would they? Indeed, they would. In two games, Jacob Louie, a 27-year-old Appalachian State product, led Carolina with 80 completions and just one throwaway, in the Flyers’ magnificent 2-0 road trip through San Diego and Vegas. Empowered by more experienced teammates, Louie went 55-for-55 in Friday’s victory over the Growlers, shaking off his one error—a dropped pull to start the second half—by totaling three goals and three assists. He added three more assists and his first career UFA block in Saturday’s blustery battle with the Bighorns. Overall, the Flyers—one year after starting 0-4—are off to a super satisfying 2-0 start, and Louie’s emergence is a huge reason why.

Evan Swiatek, Austin Sol (Pictured)

As I mentioned in my Saturday night recap, I thought it would have been reasonable for the referees to eject Evan Swiatek after his bad fourth quarter bid into Atlanta’s Lukas McClamrock. It was a brutal play, a mistake he clearly regretted immediately, and a moment that loomed even larger when Swiatek swooped in to snag the game-sealing score in double overtime. You cannot reasonably tell the story of Swiatek’s return to the UFA without mentioning both of these sequences, and I’d imagine that some would say he has no place on the Week 1 Honor Roll because of the one awful decision. But overall—and this has to sting the Hustle—Swiatek’s hustle might have been the difference in the game. He caught a career-high nine goals, added two assists, and went 28-for-28 passing, producing 556 total yards, an incredible comeback performance for the 29-year-old after he missed the entire 2025 season. The bad bid adds a significant asterisk, but Swiatek’s return has also undeniably elevated the Sol’s ceiling in the South.

Austin Taylor, Atlanta Hustle

I keep waiting for Austin Taylor to lose a step; instead, at age 34, he might actually be a half-step quicker than he was a year ago. Between his quickness, his competitiveness, and his exceptional throwing arsenal, Taylor still looks like he might be the best quarterback in the entire league. Even in double OT defeat on Saturday night, Taylor tossed seven assists, added two goals and two blocks, and churned for 800 total yards, the most by any player in a single game this weekend. He added five more scores and another 472 yards in the Hustle’s 29-13 romp over the Havoc on Friday. Starting his 10th season with Atlanta, Taylor also went 8-for-11 on his hucks in the Lone Star State, a success rate that most teams would instantly accept.

Jason Vallee, Oakland Spiders

It’s tough to select a single Spider when so many Oakland athletes shined in Sunday’s 34-11 obliteration of Oregon, but Jason Vallee also separated himself with a double-digit plus/minus, a 100 percent completion rate, and an astonishing amount of offensive production for a D-line player. In fact, last season in the UFA, there were dozens of players who finished a game with at least nine scores, but none of these players logged fewer than 10 O-points in that game. Meanwhile, Vallee only played one O-point for the Spiders on Sunday, doing most of his damage during his 22 D-points. Oakland finished its opener with 21 breaks, and while Dylan Burns, Aaron Rosenthal, and James Whealan also were superb, Vallee gets the nod to complete the signature seven for the UFA’s opening weekend.
