For the second consecutive season, Jeff Babbitt of the Boston Glory has claimed the top individual honor in the league and won the 2024 UFA MVP award. Babbitt becomes the fourth player in league history to win back-to-back MVP honors, but just the second player ever to claim the award with different teams. He finished the season seventh in goals (43) and second in blocks (22), and helped Boston win its first ever playoff game by securing a last second goal in regulation against his former team.
Babbitt has now qualified for six straight postseason appearances dating back to 2018, and has won at least one game in each of those seasons. Along with Ben Jagt, Babbitt is just one of two players in UFA history to score at least 50 goals in the playoffs. At the conclusion of the 2024 campaign, Babbitt ranks sixth all-time in goals (319), fourth in blocks (172), and 19th in points played (2347).
