Boston's Tobe Decraene Wins MVP Award For Second Straight Season

The Ultimate Frisbee Association is proud to announce Tobe Decraene as the 2026 league MVP. The 23-year-old becomes the fifth player in UFA history to win back-to-back MVP awards, and is the youngest ever to accomplish the feat. It is the third straight season a member of the Boston Glory has earned the award, and the second time since 2019 that the MVP winner did not come from a semifinalist team. In just his first three three seasons of professional play, Decraene has already earned two MVP awards, 2024 "Rookie Of The Year", and the 2025 Championship Weekend MVP.

"I'm very honored to win this award again," Decraene said of his second MVP. "It puts me on a short list with some of the most elite players that have ever played in the league."

"But I'm still far from my potential. To solidify myself among the best, I have to win more championships."

Decraene led the league in scoring for the second straight season and accumulated the fourth most yards. A dual threat monster from any spot on the field, Decraene only had one start in 13 games this season with less than three assists, and he caught the third most hucks of any player in 2026 according to Shown Space advanced stats. He established single-game career highs in assists, goals, hockey assists, and completions, and continued his legendary streak of throwing at least one assist in every start of his career (38 games and counting). And since entering the league in 2024, Decraene has the second most assists and second most receiving yards of any player in the association. 

And even with starting line absences every week, Decraene led Boston to their best offensive season in franchise history in 2026. The Glory ranked fifth both in team completion percentage and offensive success rate, scoring on nearly 60 percent of their total offensive possessions. Decraene contributed to over 43 percent of his team's scoring possessions when he was on the field, the third highest rate in the league this year.
