Sovell-Fernandez is a product of Middlebury College where he won a Division III National Championship and was the recipient of the Donovan Award. As a UFA rookie in 2024, Sovell-Fernandez was thrust into a role where he constantly handled the Frisbee. The Wind Chill reaped the benefits all year, particularly during a four-game stretch where he had 10 goals, three assists, and one block. He was one of two players to play in all 15 games this year for the Wind Chill and earned UFA First Team All-Rookie honors for his efforts.
