At the age of 18, Shope was the youngest player in the entire UFA in 2024, starting the season while finishing his senior year at St. Louis Park High School. Now a freshman at Carleton College, Shope is a year removed from leading his high school team to a top-four finish at Nationals in 2024. Already having a knack for the big play, Shope amassed six critical blocks, a team high, in the three-game playoff run for the Wind Chill on their way to the UFA title.
