We are thrilled to announce that for the second straight year the Western Ultimate League (WUL) and the Premier Ultimate League (PUL) will play in the WUL versus PUL All-Star Game on Saturday, August 29 at Breese Stevens Field in Madison, WI. Just as last summer, the All-Star Game event will take place immediately prior to the UFA Championship Game, and feature 18 players selected for each squad. The matchup will be highly anticipated after the PUL claimed victory over a heavily favored WUL lineup in front of a record-setting crowd* in 2025.
“This event showed what’s possible when our leagues come together,” said Will Griffin, Executive Director of the WUL, who is also an owner of the UFA’s San Diego Growlers franchise. “The atmosphere, the level of play, and the support from the fans made it clear there’s a real appetite for this matchup. We’re excited to give it the platform it deserves and continue building a rivalry that elevates the sport.”
“UFA Championship Weekend has evolved into a true culmination of our sport,” said UFA CEO & Commissioner Tim DeByl . “Bringing together the WUL, PUL, and UFA allows fans to experience the full spectrum of professional ultimate, while creating a shared space to celebrate our athletes, leagues, and the continued growth of the game.”
Last year’s game demonstrated the growing desire for elite women’s competition and the power of collaboration across leagues. This year’s rematch will continue that momentum, building deeper connections between fan bases and expanding opportunities for athletes.
