Players are listed alphabetically.

Arthur Aucoin, New York Empire

In his first two games in the UFA, Arthur Aucoin, the youngster out of UMass, did not register any stat beyond a single completion in each game. But on Sunday against Philly, he showed why the Empire have kept slotting him in the lineup during their biggest late-season contests. Aucoin scored three goals, tossed an assist, and recorded a block in New York’s playoff-clinching victory over the Phoenix. While over 97.5 percent of all UFA players have never caught a Callahan, Aucoin snagged his first career defensive score in just his third career game, intercepting an errant swing in the second quarter. That was part of New York’s 7-0 rampage that built an eight-goal halftime lead and ultimately doomed Philly’s playoff aspirations.

Alex Forsberg, Salt Lake Shred

With a career-high four goals, Alex Forsberg helped the Shred secure several key breaks in Friday night’s 21-18 victory over the Summit. In fact, three of his four goals, including a dramatic bookends with 9:02 left, came during Salt Lake’s exhilarating 8-3 run that transformed a one-goal halftime deficit into a four-goal lead. Overall, he was directly involved in four of the team’s six breaks against Colorado, as the Shred earned their 10th straight win and clinched the top seed in the West.

Kimball Pew, Salt Lake Shred

The Shred’s SportsCenter Top 10 star from Week 12, 21-year-old Kimball Pew also shined on Salt Lake’s young-and-hungry D-line. His spectacular third quarter layout capped a thrilling sequence that surged the Shred into the lead and sent the Zions Bank Stadium faithful into a frenzy. Pew finished the game with two assists and two blocks to go along with his one scintillating goal, all achieved in just 12 points played. For the season, he’s averaging one block per game and has completed all 52 of his passes, making him one of eight players in the league with a 100 percent completion rate on at least 50 throws.

John Randolph, New York Empire

Leading an Empire O-line that was only broken once in 48 minutes, John Randolph orchestrated the attack and helped ensure that New York would be returning to the UFA playoffs for the seventh straight season. He led the Empire with 484 total yards in Sunday’s lopsided win over Philly, tallying three goals, one assist, seven hockey assists, and, perhaps most crucially, no turnovers. In two games against the Phoenix this year, Randolph went 82-for-82 with over 1,100 total yards, quarterbacking the Empire to a 2-0 clip against Philadelphia, whose postseason were hopes dashed in a pair of disappointing Week 12 defeats.

Ben Sadok, Boston Glory

Eight goals, four assists, and over 800 throwing yards across two games was certainly superb, but it was Ben Sadok’s defensive awareness, athleticism, and situational instincts that earned him a spot among this week’s sensational seven. With the Phoenix up by one and aggressively looking to double their lead in the closing seconds of the third, Sadok launched his body for a soaring end zone interception. Just denying the Philly sequence was splendid in itself, but the five-year UFA veteran quickly initiated the counter attack. A few exhilarating throws later, Topher Davis had the momentum-swinging score that demoralized the Hotbirds and paved the way for Boston’s fourth quarter surge. We’ve spent a bunch of time—for good reason, of course—focusing on Tobe Decraene as a huge difference-maker for Boston’s O-line. But Sadok having a career-high 97 percent completion rate is another underrated factor explaining why the Glory are now the East Division’s top seed for the first time ever.

Dalton Smith, Houston Havoc

Although it’s been a disappointing season for the Havoc, Friday night offered a reminder of Dalton Smith’s revered leadership and polished skillset. The 32-year-old, who’s competed in five different Championship Weekends in his seven-season UFA career, tossed 64 completions—the most in a game for any Havoc player in the franchise’s short history—with no throwaways in Houston’s overtime victory over Los Angeles. Five of his throws found the end zone, and his lone goal capped the opening point of OT, when he basically went every-other to lead the Havoc offense to a tone-setting opening hold.

Austin Taylor, Atlanta Hustle

Relentlessly solid and often spectacular, Austin Taylor anchored the Atlanta offense in Saturday’s ultra-satisfying 21-17 road victory at Carolina, a result that ended the Flyers’ hopes of participating in the South Division playoffs for the first time ever. Taylor went 41-for-42 with six assists, one goal, 332 throwing yards, and 310 receiving yards, pushing the right buttons and limiting the Carolina D-line to just two breaks. His stellar Week 12 performance capped the best single-season in his nine-year Hustle career, as he currently leads the league with 6,453 total yards, 408 more than number two, Philly’s Sean Mott.
