PHILADELPHIA, PA - Despite six goals from Greg Martin and five assists from handler Ethan Fortin, the Phoenix dropped a pivotal East Division game at home to the Montreal Royal, 25-15, last Saturday evening at A.A. Garthwaite Stadium in Conshohocken, PA.
Sean Mott tallied a goal and four assists and Himalaya Mehta added four goals for the Phoenix, who had their two-game winning streak snapped.
Quentin Bonnaud scored five goals for the Royal, who recorded their first win in the season. The Royal jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, leading wire-to-wire to secure the victory.
The Phoenix (2-3) have a bye this week leading into the inaugural AUDL All Star Weekend before going on the road to face the undefeated Empire in New York on Saturday, June 15th. The Phoenix then return home to A.A. Garthwaite Stadium for a crucial contest against the DC Breeze on Sunday, June 16th, starting at 2 p.m.
