PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Philadelphia Phoenix announce open tryout for the 2026 season and invite all interested individuals 18+ to see if they have what it takes to be a Hotbird and join the ranks of the UFA. 

The open tryout will be held January 10, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Penn Bubble in Philadelphia. Players will be assessed by the Phoenix professional coaching staff in a variety of areas including targeted skills assessments, athletic combine testing and live game simulations. Top performing players will have the opportunity to advance to invitational tryout rounds tentatively scheduled for the last two weekends of January, location to be determined. 

Registration includes all tryout events, Phoenix frisbee* and one month of WatchUFA.tv.** Early Bird Registration is available at $70 per player through December 1, 2025, after which General Registration will be open at $85 per player. A special rate for players under 21 is available at $40 per player, proof of eligibility required.
