Carolina Flyers General Manager

As General Manager of the Carolina Flyers, Jonathan Pauley brings more than 25 years of experience in sports management, event production, and organizational leadership to one of professional ultimate’s premier franchises. His leadership blends operational excellence with a fan-first mindset focused on building a high-performance culture both on and off the field.

Jonathan oversees all aspects of the Flyers’ operations, including game-day execution, sponsorship development, staffing, community engagement, player relations, and strategic growth initiatives. His approach centers on creating memorable experiences for fans, partners, players, and the broader ultimate community while strengthening the organization’s long-term sustainability and impact.

Jonathan also served for nine years as an Adjunct Professor in the Sport Management graduate program at the University of San Francisco, teaching Event Management, Event Safety and Security, Sponsorship, and Leadership. He holds a Master’s degree in Sport Management from USF and is completing a PhD in Strategic Leadership at Liberty University with research focused on leadership in nonprofit sporting events. He’s also a Marine Corps veteran.

A lifelong endurance sports enthusiast and cycling advocate, Jonathan is passionate about using sport to build community, develop leaders, and create meaningful shared experiences.
